Finance is a discipline which is constantly in high demand from employers. The knowledge gained on this course is relevant to everybody in the world, individual or business. The NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Skills for Business (Finance) gives students real-life, practical knowledge which can be applied to any professional environment. As well as this, students can apply the valuable knowledge gained to their own personal finances for future success.

Students who are accepted will study six units from Group A, followed by four units from Group B. The duration of the diploma course is 6 months spent in the classroom at 25 hours per week of study.

Upon completion, successful students will be invited to join the NVQ Level 4 Diploma in Business Administration.

Quais são os objetivos da formação?

The course is industry driven, tailored to align with the needs of companies and individuals. Students will receive practical workplace skills (recording transactions and events, creating financial statements using GAAP) which are relevant to businesses in the digital age. The knowledge learned will also guide students on personal finance decisions in the future.

NVQ Level 3 also provides access to the NVQ Level 4 Business Administration qualification.

This course is intended for students looking to develop analytical skills and knowledge of GAAP best practice. The global focus is for successful candidates to develop English, mathematics and ICT skills relevant to finance.

Requisitos: The Level 3 Diploma in Skills for Business (Finance) is designed for applicants holding a relevant Level 2 Diploma. Alternative routes to the course include British GCSE equivalents in a related discipline. We are also open to students who have relevant work experience with no formal qualifications. However, each application will be considered on a case-by-case basis. English language requirements: Students on this course will need to demonstrate a level of English equivalent to IELTS 4.0 to enter. Language support will be provided throughout the course.

Group A Units

Unit 2 Deliver customer service in a business environment
Unit 3 Produce documents in a business environment
Unit 4 Solve problems in a business environment
Unit 5 Work with others in a business environment
Unit 6 Communicate in a business environment
Unit 7 Contribute to running a project
Unit 8 Innovation in a business environment
Unit 9 Manage and improve own performance in a business environment
Unit 10 Respond to change in a business environment

Learners are required to pass successfully four units from Group B.

Group B Units:

Unit 11 Accounts preparation
Unit 12 Prepare final accounts for sole traders and partnerships
Unit 13 Costs and revenues
Unit 14 Indirect tax
Unit 15 Professional ethics

Each of the units will be assessed through either a written report, video-recorded presentation, voice-recorded interview, assessor observation and/or written questionnaire response.
